With huge herds of African wildlife roaming unrestricted between the Kalahari and the Okavango Delta, Botswana is devoted to national parks, guaranteeing a superb big game safari experience in untouched wilderness. Botswana is known for having the largest elephant population in Africa, with Chobe National Park being a traveller’s paradise for viewing these elegant giants.
The Okavango Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with exciting wildlife throughout the year. Visitors from June to August can observe the animals migrating after the rainy season, while later in the year the summertime transforms the bush into lush green plains, drawing grazers like zebra, wildebeest, and impala antelope with their new-borns, along with a flurry of colourful migratory birds.
Magnificent Masai 🦁
Unique as the largest of the world’s few inland deltas, the placid waters and lush indigenous forests offer a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species. A matrix of palm-dotted islands, flood plains and woodland, the 77,000 hectare private concession typifies the region’s unique landscape. Many consider Duba Plains to be the Okavango’s Masai Mara because of the sheer volume of wildlife.

About the COVID travel regulations (updated 29 October 2020)
The infection rate in Botswana reached just over 5600 cases with close to no new infections. Botswana has however not eased its travel restrictions and has not opened up the country for tourists. Tourism is lobbying to the Botswana government to review this stance.
Therefore Exclusive Africa Experiences cannot yet book a package for you to this wonderful destination but we will update this information as it becomes available.
